Corixa are a UK based organisation delivering modern energy solutions to Africa. By accelerating the adoption of solar technology across the continent, we will work to conserve our environment by providing environmentally friendly, sustainable and conflict-free power supplies. Our Board of Directors, which includes the expertise of UK, US, Zimbabwean and Irish nationals, will ensure that the UK is a leading contributor to the solution of Africa’s current energy deficiency.
At Corixa, we believe that there is a real opportunity for Africa to demonstrate to the world the impact of small and mid-scale, blended renewable energy sources at a micro- grid and mobile level.By carving a new and pioneering path towards alternative energy solutions, we can trulychange the fortunes of the African continent.
By effectively communicating the benefits of solar power through all relevant communication channels, globally as well as in Africa, our key message will gain traction in both the media and with Stakeholders.

Across a resource rich continent of fifty-four nations, only seven African countries can currently lay claim to an electricity access rate that exceeds 50%. Consequently, 625 million people are living outside the reach of traditional power distribution grids.
As one might expect, the continent’s larger economies such as Nigeria (90%) and South Africa (95%) record high percentages for access to grids. Only two countries, Mauritius and Egypt, record 100% access.
Regionally, North and East Africa stand out, albeit for contrasting reasons. North Africa enjoys the continent’s highest rates for access to electricity while East Africa trails behind the rest of the continent.
